The girls from St Joseph's got to spend the morning sharing information about their favourite shopping experiences. Everyone had their favourite shops and it was interesting to find that many of the shops the girls liked in Poland were the same as the ones in Poland.
Then they went shopping costing and comparing the prices of things like jeans, make up or music CD's both in the Euro and the Zloty. It was fascinatiing to see which items cost more or less in Poland.

We had fun comparing Irish and Polish chocolate. The name of the Polish chocolate, translated into English meant "bird's milk", but it tasted good. The Polish girls told us about a meat and cabbage meal called "Bigos". I wonder how that compares to Irish stew or Colcannon, perhaps?
